Introducing a personality: Milorad Mišković
Milorad Mišković He began his real estate career in Prague in 1994 as a senior consultant at the leading German company Muller International and subsequently as a director at the world's largest consulting firm, Jones Lang LaSalle. Even then, some of the largest real estate projects in Prague passed through his hands, and he collaborated on them with the first international and domestic developers operating in the Czech Republic (BB Centrum, Myslbek, IBC, etc.). In 2000, Milorad became the Commercial Director of Karlín Group, later advancing within the company to the position of Director and Partner. At Karlín Group, Milorad and his colleagues primarily undertook the revitalisation and reconstruction of Karlín and Libeň. Karlín Group acted as a partner in real estate development in Prague for Marc Rich Real Estate, the investment branch of the family office that worked for Marc Rich, the founder of the commodities trading company Glencore, among others. In Karlín, Milorad was involved in the development of approximately 25 residential and first-class office buildings. Milorad remains a minority partner in some of Karlín Group's Karlín projects to this day. In 2012, Milorad joined the Israeli property development group Daramis as CEO and oversaw the development of around 2,000 residential units. In the same year, he also took on the role of senior adviser to Mr Luděk Sekyra, chairman of the Sekyra Group, a leading Czech property development company. He is involved in three of the six largest property development projects in Prague, which together exceed 1,000,000 m² of mixed-use gross floor area. In 2013, Milorad became a partner in the ECP Real Estate investment fund, which focused on development and income-generating property in Prague. The aforementioned fund was, at that time, one of the first professional real estate funds. Milorad is also currently a member of the board of Pink Crocodile, a charity supporting children with disabilities and those who are socially disadvantaged, and the Foundation Fund for Proton Therapy. He also serves as Senior Advisor for China Mobile for Southeast Europe and Expobank for Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe, and is also an advisor to the Chairman of Datasys. In 2013, Milorad Karlin founded Port Real Estate (KPRE), a leading investment and development company based in Prague. KPRE is a platform for investing in various types of real estate in the Czech and Central European property markets, as well as in the former Yugoslavia. The company is characterised by a very sensitive approach to urban planning and architecture. It focuses on the metropolis of Prague, where it is significantly involved in the city's transformation. In 2022, Milorad and his partner at KPRE, Miki Goldstein, established the Opportunity Real Estate Fund SICAV (OREF), which focuses on investments in carefully selected property development projects. This investment fund focuses primarily on attractive residential and commercial projects in Prague. OREF offers an exceptional net annual return of at least 8 % and aims to grow €80 million in private investments over the next two years. In 2022, Milorad and Miki partnered with PSP-Farman Holding, a leading real estate investor and developer in the former Yugoslavia, to establish the Western Balkan Investment Platform, based in Belgrade. The business partners' shared objective is to invest up to €300 million in a series of value-added real estate and development projects and to significantly contribute to the further development of the region.
