About us
UBM Development is one of Europe's leading developers of timber buildings. It strategically focuses on timber construction, green buildings and smart offices in the metropolises of Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt and Prague. Platinum ratings from EcoVadis and „Prime Status“ from the rating agency ISS ESG are proof of UBM's focus on sustainability. UBM has been on the market for 150 years, realising projects from acquisition through planning and construction to their sale. The company's shares are listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, Prime Market of the Vienna Stock Exchange, in the segment with the highest transparency requirements.
The Ortner and Strauss industrial syndicate is a key shareholder, holding approximately 39%. The executive committee, an extended management body comprising 20 of the company’s senior managers, has invested €5 million in UBM shares.
The headquarters of UBM Development AG are located in Vienna. Together with its subsidiaries, UBM has created an effective network in Central Europe. Strong local integration and extensive market expertise support the early identification and exploitation of market opportunities, with the aim of efficiently planning future projects. With its own team of professionals across disciplines, we develop the form of new projects, their innovative use concepts, or combine different interests and users. We thus offer the complete spectrum of services required for comprehensive development: market analysis, project conception, planning and project management, financing, leasing, and building management. Specialists with many years of professional experience are involved in the process from the initial project ideas right through to handover to the tenant or final investor. This know-how allows us to cover all phases of property development in-house.
Alongside property and real estate development, UBM also operates as a hotel tenant. To consolidate operational know-how in hotel management and bring all leased hotel operations under one roof, the subsidiary UBM Hotels Management GmbH was founded in 2016.
