Benešov Brewery Ferdinand was founded in 1897 by Archduke Franz Ferdinand d'Este and still brews beer according to traditional recipes today.

This places it among craft and typically Czech breweries, where the quality of the beer is constantly monitored by the most skilled brewers. They dedicate ample care and attention to the golden nectar. Under their hands, eighteen types of bottom-fermented beers are created. From the classic ten-degree beer and the special strong D’Este beer, or unique gluten-free beers, to the special Pěkný číslo (Nice Number), the brewery has a unique malting plant that not only produces malt for the Benešov brewery but also supplies it to other breweries across the Czech Republic and abroad. The Ferdinand Brewery brews an average of 22,000 hectolitres of beer annually.
